WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.
 – Starting March 9th, the Deacon Club will be reaching out to Wake Forest alumni and supporters to invest in Demon Deacon athletics by making a donation to the Annual Fund through the “Bring Back the Legacy” campaign.

All Deacon Club membership donations go towards the Annual Fund, and 100 percent of these gifts are used to pay the University to cover the cost of student-athlete scholarships. Currently, scholarship costs exceed $13 million and funds raised only cover about 62 percent of those costs.

The remaining money must be pulled from the department’s operating budget, which negatively impacts all athletic programs.By increasing donations to the Annual Fund, Wake Forest athletics can dedicate more of the department’s operating budget to things like recruiting and facilities. Not only does this help ensure current student-athletes are getting the best resources to help them succeed in their sport, it also helps our department recruit future Demon Deacon greats to our programs.

As part of the campaign, supporters and alumni are asked to share their favorite Wake Forest athletics memories via social media using the hashtag #BringItBack or on the website, WakeForestSports.com/bringitback. The photos and memories shared will be hosted on the “Bring Back the Legacy” campaign website.
