Terms of Agreement

With three payment options and a variety of price points, the Football Seat Rights Program offers a great opportunity for every Deacon fan to give to the Athletic Department. Seat rights durations and three payment options are indicated below. The example scenarios assume four seats at $2,700/seat.

  • Option #1 – 25-year duration
    Retain seat(s) for a 25-year duration if amount is paid in full by June 30, 2011

    Example: Pay $10,800 upfront by June 30, 2011. This will secure the location of your four seats through the end of the 2037 season.

  • Option #2 – 20-year duration*
    Retain seat(s) for a 20-year duration if amount is paid over a 5-year period 

    Example: Pay $2,160 by June 30, 2011, and equal payments of $2,160 every year for four more years. This will secure the location of your four seats through the end of the 2031 season.

  • Option #3 – 15-year duration*
    Retain seat(s) for a 15-year duration if amount is paid over a 10-year period

    Example: Pay $1,080 by June 30, 2011, and equal payments of $1,080 every year for nine more years. This will secure the location of your four seats through the end of the 2026 season.

These are one-time, per-seat donations payable by duration options listed above.
*Minimum or equal installments will be required each year throughout the payment period, with the first payment due by June 30, 2011.
 

Seat Rights Eligibility

In order to participate in the Football Seat Rights Program, you must be a current member of the Deacon Club at an appropriate membership giving level. As indicated in the payment amounts, some sections have minimum giving level requirements for the duration of the term. Your membership giving level determines the number of season tickets for which you are eligible. Please note: Deacon Tower commitments count toward your ticket eligibility.

Payment Amounts and Seating Sections in BB&T Field

The following amounts are one-time, per-seat donations. Season ticket purchase not included.
 

  • 3,000/seat – Sections 5 & 6
    (minimum giving requirement: Executive Club)
  • $2,700/seat – Sections 4, 7 and portions of 15 & 16
    (minimum giving requirement: Golden W)
  • $2,150/seat – Sections 3, 8, 15 & 16
     
  • $1,350/seat – Sections 2, 9, 14 & 17
  • $800/seat – Sections 1 & 10

Terms & Conditions

  • Season Tickets. Season tickets are sold separately and donors must annually purchase season tickets for all seat right locations.
  • Deacon Club. FSRP participants must be members of the Deacon Club at the appropriate giving level for the number of seat rights desired. Seat rights are sold to individual memberships, not groups.
  • Transferability. Seat rights are only transferable to spouse or child one time upon death.
  • Tax Deductibility. 80% of FSRP donations are tax deductible.
  • Location Change. FSRP participants have the option to change seat right location during the term. If the donor moves to a section with a higher seat right price or to a better seat within the same section as defined by the Deacon Club, the FSRP holder will pay the difference between the original cost of the seat rights and the new seat rights price; this amount will be spread over the remaining payments due, and the holder will retain the original term duration.
  • Adding Seats. FSRP holders have the opportunity to add seat rights in subsequent years. If the addition requires a move to a more expensive section or to better seats within the same section as defined by the Deacon Club, the donor will have to pay the difference between the original and new cost as well as the full price for all new seats.

Season Ticket Policies for Seat Rights

As outlined on the FSRP commitment form, seat right holders are required to purchase season tickets for all locations for which they have seat rights. The following provides some common seat right ticket situations and the corresponding official policy:

  1. Donor does not want to order season tickets for one year, but does make an FSRP payment in order to retain the rights to the seat location. The donor’s seat location will open up for new seat right sales. The donor will select a new seat right location once he/she resumes purchasing season tickets. Seat right location is subject to availability and the tickets must be purchased during the normal Deacon Club sales window.
  2. Donor wants to reduce the number of season tickets but continue making FSRP payments for all seat rights location to retain the rights to all seats. If a donor is reducing the number of tickets ordered, they are subject to be moved in order to avoid leaving singles; every effort will be made to keep the seats in a comparable location. When the donor wants to resume purchasing the full number of season tickets, they will select a new location based on available inventory at that time.
  3. Donor wants to permanently reduce the number of seat rights. If a donor is reducing the number of tickets ordered, they are subject to be moved in order to avoid leaving singles; every effort will be made to keep the seats in a comparable location.
