Deacon Club
Wake Forest University Deacon Club The Deacon Club consists of over 5,000 Wake Forest alumni, friends and fans whose annual donations help the athletic department to continue to serve as a source of pride for the University. Your Deacon Club contributions and support goes towards the funding of our Wake Forest Student-Athlete Scholarships. Your financial gift to the Deacon Club does more than simply support WF Athletics; you are enabling a student-athlete to obtain an education from one of the best universities in the nation. Many do not realize that when a student-athlete signs a scholarship with Wake Forest, our athletic department is commiting to pay for that scholarship. Your support helps cover these costs and allows our athletic department to continue to strive to be one of the best overall programs in the country. We thank you.

John Hicks Society
Donors to the Athletic Endowment will be recognized in the John Hicks Society, named in honor of the 1934 graduate whose will created Wake Forest Athletics' largest current endowment.
|
Life Insurance
There are many ways in which life insurance policies can be used to make a gift to Wake Forest Athletics. All provide an immediate income tax deduction and may enable the donor to make a much larger gift than might otherwise be possible.
|
Residence or Farm
A donor may give his or her personal residence or farm to Wake Forest Athletics and retain a life interest in it for the donor and his or her spouse. This gives the donor an advantage both in current income and estate taxes. There is a charitable deduction in the year the property is deeded to Wake Forest.
Gifts of real property, in addition to a residence or farm, may be conveyed to the University through a will or contributed to one of the University's life income plans.
|
Bequests
A donor may leave cash, securities, or real estate by will to Wake Forest Athletics. The value of the bequest is deductible from the estate of the donor. Bequests can take various forms and may be restricted or unrestricted.
