Member Benefits:

All members of the Deacon Club enjoy a number of benefits for their support of the athletic program, including the Gold Rush newsletter, an automobile decal, access to the Basketball Hoops Room and priority ticket and parking assignment.

Priority Point System:

Some Deacon Club benefits are determined by rank or rank within giving level, which is based on a priority point system.  Members earn 5 points for every consecutive year of participation, 1 point for every $100 donated to the Annual Scholarship Fund and 2 points for every $100 donated to an Endowment Fund or Capital Project.

Types of Gifts:

1) Annual- Contributions to the Deacon Club Annual Scholarship Fund make a direct positive impact on student-athlete's lives.  Support for the Annual Fund comes from members of all giving levels.  The small margin by which we surpassed this past year's annual giving goal demonstrates that every donor's contribution makes a difference.

2) Endowment- Endowment gifts provide academically deserving Wake Forest student-athletes with scholarships. As the costs of scholarships continue to rise, it is important for endowment growth to keep pace.  Each year the endowment’s annual interest along with our annual support helps cover the cost of our 273 student-athlete scholarships.  Certain bonuses for Deacon Club memberships apply for endowed fund gifts as well.

3) Capital- Capital gifts help fund the development of the various athletic facilities. Wake Forest Athletics and the Deacon Club have several capital projects and facility improvement plans in place that need support at this time.  By contributing to a capital fund or project, certain bonuses for Deacon Club members can be obtained.  Football, golf, baseball, tennis, volleyball and basketball are among the sports seeking additional support at this time.
