The Wake Forest Letterman’s Club was established in 1984 to promote and preserve the friendships and loyalties enjoyed by former athletes at Wake Forest. In 1995, the name was changed to Wake Forest Varsity Club to more accurately reflect the group. Wake Forest is greatly aware of the commitment that our student-athletes make while enrolled as students. The Varsity Club is designed to keep all former student-athletes involved with the Wake Forest Athletics community. This includes staying in touch with coaches and teammates as well as following the current Demon Deacon teams.
All former student-athletes, men and women, who participated in at least one year of a varsity sport while at Wake Forest are automatically Varsity Club members upon graduation. Earning a letter in your sport is not a requirement for membership. Former cheerleaders, student managers and trainers are also included as members of the Wake Forest Varsity Club.
Wake Forest Varsity Club has NO annual dues, no hidden costs. When a student-athlete graduates, he or she automatically becomes a member of the Varsity Club.
All Wake Forest Varsity Club members are invited back each fall to participate in Varsity Club Weekend and attend a home football game. The weekend activities typically include the football game, a pre-game tailgate, and a golf tournament. Often individual Demon Deacon teams are honored during the course of Varsity Club Weekend and special events are planned around these teams.
