Young Deacon Club Advisory Board Update
It's a great time to get involved with WFU athletics!
The Young Deacon Club Advisory Board was formed in 2003 to encourage the active participation of young alumni and friends of the University to aid in the fundraising and development of the Deacon Club. The goal of the Deacon Club is to provide funding for scholarships for Wake Forest student-athletes. In 2007-2008, Deacon Club members' contributions to the Annual Scholarship Fund and Endowed Scholarships covered 78% of total scholarship costs. Wake Forest has the smallest operating budget in the ACC with the highest percentage of that budget allocated to scholarship costs.
The Young Deacon Club Advisory Board furthers the work of the Deacon Club by creating opportunities for the next generation of leadership to come together to celebrate the accomplishments of our athletic programs. There are many incentives for joining the Young Deacon Club.
The Board’s current leadership is provided by Tori Boysen(’96) of Clemmons and Ed Balogh ('88) of Charlotte. Each year, the President of the Young Deacon Club Advisory Board holds a seat on the Deacon Club Board of Directors.
